Philosophy & Goals

The goal of The Three Bears Child Care Center is to provide a safe, healthy, happy environment for each child with principles of developmentally appropriate practice in early childhood programs. The staff will serve as role models who provide nurturing care that recognizes and acknowledges each child’s individual needs.

The center’s philosophy is that each child will be given the opportunity to achieve and grow in positive self esteem, self confidence, and successfully realize his/her full potential. This will be achieved through learning experiences in emotional, physical, social, creative, and cognitive development. The care-givers are to support the learning and development of each child.

The Center will be closed on the following HOLIDAYS:

Rates, Fees, and Registration

Highlighted below are discounts we offer. Since needs vary, please call for complete rates, late pickup fees and registration requirements.

In recognition of those who keep us all safe, we are proud to offer a 10% discount to our military, police, teachers and firefighter/rescue families! (Please call center for details!)

5% discount is given to those with FULL TIME attending children if payment for the entire month is made in the first week of the month. Families with 2 or more attending children are entitled to a 5% discount on the weekly rate of the older attending children. The full rate will be charged for the youngest child.

All rates include breakfast, lunch and snacks. After one year, your child is entitled to one week vacation (one week of enrollment at no cost).

Meals / Food Program

Nutritious and well-balanced meals are provided. (Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack) The lunch served meets one third (1/3) of the daily requirements for a child. The children are also provided with an afternoon snack which contains foods from two of the basic food groups.

If a child is to have food supplements, these will be provided by he parent, and a required state form must be signed giving the staff permission to give the child these.

If a child has food allergies, please make the center aware of such, with a statement from a medical doctor stating the foods your child must not eat. The staff cook will modify the meal for your child and still remain within the state daily meal requirements.

Breakfast is served until 8:00 each morning. Lunch is served between 11:00 and 11:30 AM. An afternoon snack is served at approximately 2:30 PM

Parental Participation

The Three Bears Child Care Center has regularly scheduled parent/teacher conferences twice a year. These are held in August and February to discuss your child’s progress, social and physical needs, or any other pertinent matter. A Conference Form will be used and kept in the child’s file in the office. The teachers are here to help you. If you have any questions regarding your child’s progress, please do not hesitate to discuss any information that you desire with your child’s teacher or the Administrator.

If you or any employee has any concerns or complaints, please feel free to stop by the office and the Administrator will be glad to help you.

Each year, during the month of June, evaluation forms are provided for parents to evaluate our center. These are placed in the lobby. After completion, the parent can place them in the payment basket by the sign-in book. The data gathered from these forms will be used to help improve our center for your children. An evaluation of the Center director is also randomly given to parents during June as a tool to further improve the management of the center.

Additionally, the staff and administration are always willing to discuss concerns with you. Your child’s caregiver can provide a brief description of your child’s progress at the end of each day. If the parent requires more details about the child’s progress, please speak with the Administrator.

We have an open door policy that enables you to visit the Center any time you wish.

Any parent or guardian of a child enrolled in a child day-care center shall be permitted unlimited access to the Center during its hours of operation for the purposes of contacting their children, evaluating the care provided by the Center or evaluating the premises. Upon entering the premises, the custodial parent or guardian shall notify the Administrator of the parent’s presence.

We, at The Three Bears Child Care Center, spend a great deal of time with your child. Love and understanding helps prepare your child for their schooling in later years.

We hold many parties during our holiday seasons. Any parental participation such as sharing a craft, baking, or just giving our teachers an extra hand on party day would be appreciated. If at any time you as parents or grandparents wish to visit the classroom you are more than welcome to read a book, help with art activities, tell a story, or something else: you are more than welcome. Please make arrangements with the teacher.
